In continuation of the digital skills training in FCT, Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) organised a fifteen days digital skills training in FCT with support from ActionaidNigeria in five ICT Centres which are Leleyi Gwari in Kwali Area Council, Gaube in Kuje Area Council, Dakwa and Tungan Ashere in AMAC and Pasepa in Bwari Area Council and was established and implemented by Actionaid and CITAD respectively. 120 young people were beneficiaries of the digital skills training in order to enhance job creation and accountability strategy. The participants, who were young men and women, were trained on digital skills such as Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Correldraw, use of internet and many more. The focus is to have young people who can support their community to boost the national economy and use the digital skills trained on to seek accountability from their respective leaders. The training started with an opening ceremony, in attendance was the village heads of each community and CITAD facilitators to open the pace for the 2nd batch training. Issues around Information Communication Technology (ICT), digital inclusion, social marketing, career talk were generally discussed.  Also ICT4KIDS was also established, it’s a group which consist of primary pupils to enable them experience what digital technology is and to build career around the digital world.
In the light of this, Actionaid Nigeria invited Mark Engel Comedy to Pasepa Community to have a chat with the beneficiaries and he made them to understand the power of social media, how he started his career and the journey so far. The beneficiaries were excited and also challenged to utilise the opportunity they have not minding their location.
Some of the participants shared their success stories Patience from One of the ICT stated that “she is in Junior Secondary School and has been taught the theory aspect of computer in school, but now she has a sense of what the computer entail. The application she love most is correl draw, she can design an invitation card and she is glad to be part of the training
Yahaya  from One of the ICT Centres stated that “he graduated from secondary school two years back and since then he was not engaged in anything. When he heard about the training he decided to use the opportunity to participate because his parents couldn’t afford the computer training fee in Zuba, he is glad to be part of the training and hope to get some money to buy a laptop soon so that he can also open a small ict business centre in his communityâ€
Abubakar also from one of the ICT Centre and pupil among the ICT for kids stated “he is Happy he learnt computer appreciation and he has never touched a computer but with the ICT Centre in his community he was able to touch and use a computerâ€
