Bauchi Feminist Internet School (BaFIS)
The Bauchi Feminist Internet School (BaFIS) is a capacity-building initiative designed to develop digital inclusion champions who advocate for gender equality and help bridge the gender digital divide across Nigeria, particularly in Northern Nigeria. The programme provides intensive training on digital rights, online safety and security, feminist internet principles, internet governance, digital advocacy and inclusive technology. It equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to address online gender-based violence, promote women’s access to and meaningful use of digital technologies, and participate in internet policy and decision-making processes. Through community sensitisation, peer education, advocacy campaigns and stakeholder engagement, BaFIS empowers young people, women and gender advocates to promote a safer, more inclusive and equitable digital environment
